Meet Wes, Our Mascot

Swimming is a lot of fun!

Responsible pool ownership includes an obligation to ensure the safety of your bathers, especially your children and friends!

Did you know?

Drowning is the #1 leading cause of death in small children.

wes1Watch

Always make sure there is an adult watching children around water!

  • NEVER leave childrenunattended or allow them to swim alone or unsupervised
  • Assign a designated “Water Watcher” during get-togethers and parties
  • Keep a headcount of all children you’re watching, if a child is missing always check the pool first
  • Know what signs to look for in a child drowning

wes2Educate

Take proper steps to educate your family!

  • Give your child the confidence and skills of aquatic safety.
  • Teach your children how to swim!
  • If there are infants in the home, find out more about Infant Swim Rescue
  • Get CPR Certified
  • Know what to do in case an accident occurs

Putting multiple layers of protection to help keep your pool safe is ideal; just in case one fails you have a backup…

  • Keep a throwline, telescopic pole, and a shepherd’s hook accessible in the pool area
  • Put a phone poolside
  • Make sure pool drain covers are VGB compliant
  • Safety net/covers
  • Childproof fencing
  • Pool Alarms
  • Self-latching gates / doors
